A Solar Roof System for Design-Led Projects
SolRoof gives you a steel roof where the solar is part of the surface. Active FIT VOLT panels and matching FIT panels share the same lines, so the roof reads as one material. For architects and builders, the practical point is that it has to be designed in early, with the roofing and electrical scopes planned together.
Request Technical InformationWhat you'd be designing with
Two panel types that are made to sit side by side. FIT VOLT has photovoltaic cells in it. FIT doesn't. You decide where each goes, based on sun, shade and how you want the roof to look. Flashings, trim and electrical components are planned as part of the same system.
What we can send you, and what we can't yet
Tell us about the project and we'll share the technical information that applies to it. If your submission needs a document we don't have for your jurisdiction yet, we'll tell you where it stands. We won't hand you something that hasn't been confirmed.
Questions to bring to the first conversation
- Where is the project, and when does the roof go on?
- What's the roof geometry, and is it still open to change?
- Who's doing the roofing and the electrical work?
- What does your jurisdiction want to see for approval?
- Is this one building or a repeating type?
For builders and developers
If you're planning homes or buildings, send us the plans. One roof type repeated across a number of units is the easiest kind of project to plan for, and we can review a typical building first.
Questions we get asked
Can I get technical documents today?
Send us the project details and what you need. We'll share what applies and be clear about anything that's still being confirmed for your jurisdiction.
At what stage should I contact you?
Concept or schematic design, before the roof geometry is fixed.
Are the projects on your site in the U.S.?
No. They're completed installations in Europe, shown to illustrate the system.
